The chorus presents a free Alzheimer’s Symposium for caregiver resources, current research, and the practical benefits of music for memory. You may attend morning session, afternoon session, or both. Free lunch will be provided.

10:30 am Treatment and Research of Alzheimer’s Disease Presented by Dr. Steven Samuels, Chief of Psychiatry, Englewood Hospital & Medical Center
11:20 am The NJ Care Act: Caring for Our Family Caregivers Presented by Christine Newman, Manager of Community Outreach and Volunteer Engagement, AARP New Jersey

2:00 pm The Good Daughter & The Do Gooder.  Excerpt from a solo play about a daughter’s caregiving journey with her mother, an 85 year old civil rights activist. Presented by Kaypri, whose work has been featured by AARP and the Wall Street Journal. Her mother, Dorothy Marcus, was one of the founders of the Teaneck Community Chorus.
